Scandinavian-style three-room apartment design
It is no accident that homeowners around the world choose the Scandinavian style to decorate their homes. Our compatriots do not stand aside, the popularity of this style is growing every day. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the nature of the countries of Scandinavia is close to us in spirit, in temperament. Another reason why designers and customers have a liking for this style is related to the fact that it has a lot in common with the current trend in space design. Scandinavian style is also simple and concise, it has a very democratic outlook on the arrangement of the home, on the ways of its design. Like the modern style, the Scandinavian strives for practicality and functionality, performed in a simple but outwardly attractive shell. A deliberate demonstration of wealth, excessive decor and noisy luxury - this is not about the style of the Scandinavian peoples. He will rather show less than the owners of the apartment or house could brag about, but he will remain true to his principles - a convenient and comfortable atmosphere can be simple and attractive. Using one three-room apartment as an example, we will examine how the Scandinavian style is integrated into the design of a modern home.
Living room
The Scandinavian style is light and spacious, it is usually a cold palette of snow-white walls with bursts of warmth on wooden surfaces and bright accents in textiles or decor. It is by this principle that the living room is decorated. An exception to the traditional for many surface decoration of the room was the use of colorful wallpapers to create an accent wall. The cold Scandinavian winter lacks the warmth of natural colors, the brightness of flowers and grass, the freshness of the leaves and young shoots. You can arrange your little spring right in the apartment, using only a few bright wallpapers.
Scandinavian style advocates the use of simple and concise furniture, convenience and comfort in operation and care are at the forefront. When choosing furniture for the living room, the same principle was applied - nothing more, but not to the detriment of the comfort of the household and their guests. Ergonomic models of practical colors look spectacular against the background of wall decoration and create a harmonious atmosphere of the living room.
A short daylight prompted the inhabitants of Scandinavia not only to design their homes exclusively in bright colors, but also to use the maximum amount of natural light that could only be obtained from nature. The rooms decorated in the Scandinavian style either do not have curtains on the windows at all, or window openings are draped with the lightest translucent tulle, which transmits a lot of light. For cases when it is necessary to close yourself from the sun, curtains are made of natural fabric, usually cotton or linen, natural, neutral tones.
Kitchen-dining room
There is also a lot of light and space in the kitchen space - nothing hinders the movement, does not impede the free movement of the room. The compact single-row layout of the kitchen unit allows you to create, on the one hand, a sufficient number of storage systems, work surfaces and built-in household appliances to carry out all the necessary processes, and on the other hand, leaves enough free space for installing a full-fledged dining group.
The black-and-white dining group became the basis of the dining area for the whole family and for receiving guests. A snow-white table and black chairs of various models, but all similar in modification, were reflected in the design of the accent wall - a variegated black-and-white pattern of wallpaper very refreshed the interior of the functional room. A spectacular completion of the image of the dining area was a pendant bright chandelier above the dining table.
The snow-white walls of the kitchen became an excellent background for bright wall decor - this is a small collection of original plates, and drawings in dark frames, and even a board for notes, recipes or just correspondence of households.
Bedroom
The space of the sleeping room allows you to move away from the favorite Scandinavian style of wall decoration in white colors. Against the background of a neutral gray color, snow-white bedroom furniture looks very impressive. Natural colors in the textile design of the bed and windows, funny wall decor and living plants organically diversify the color scheme of the room. The combination of the sleeping area with the functional segment of the mini-office has become an effective use of usable space. Storage systems in the form of an easy rack and a small desk do not take up much space, but meanwhile they are a full-fledged workstation for creating a home mini-office.
Children's room
In the children's room for surface finishing, the same combination of a snow-white ceiling, gray walls and a wood-like laminate is used as a floor covering. Only at first glance it may seem that gray is an inappropriate option for decorating a room for a child. Indeed, it is against the background of neutral colors that snow-white furniture and bright accents in textiles and decor, carpet and wall decorative elements are especially clearly visible.
