Luxury and simplicity in the Mediterranean style of a Turkish villa

The Mediterranean style is called the way of decorating the premises, the characteristics of which were influenced by the cultures, climatic features and nuances of rural life in such countries as Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Tunisia and not only. Of course, all branches of country style have a common approach in the methods of decoration, choosing a color palette, furnishing and decorating rooms. But there are also its own particular aspects of creating a practical, attractive and comfortable interior for living, in which you want to return again and again. In this publication, we would like to acquaint you with the Turkish version of the Mediterranean style, in which one magnificent villa is decorated. All the colors of the variety of manifestations of nature are reflected in the interior of residential and utilitarian premises of Turkish apartments. The craftsmanship of furniture, lighting parting and decorative elements has become an adornment of most of the rooms of the villa "with a southern accent."

We begin a short tour of the interior and decoration of the house territory with the main, central and most family rooms in the house - a living room with a fireplace. In the best traditions of the Mediterranean style, the room is finished in snow-white shades using wooden ceiling beams and natural flooring. Arched windows and doorways are also a characteristic touch in the design of home ownership in the Mediterranean countries.

The use of natural shades in the decoration and furnishings of the living room made it possible to create a truly comfortable, pleasant atmosphere for relaxation and conversation, which is cozy for all households and their guests. Comfortable upholstered furniture in neutral tones, original handmade coffee tables in the form of large legged trays and a decor that preserves the traditions of pottery, woodcarving, metal and much more - everything in this living room indicates a southern attitude to rest and relaxation.

In Mediterranean countries, it is customary to combine the living room and dining room. This fact is easily explained by the fact that meetings with relatives and friends here are usually accompanied by feasts, stormy or modest, depending on the occasion, but a meal with guests is considered an indispensable demonstration of respect. The dining area is decorated in the same way as the living room - a bright ceiling with wooden beams, walls in white tone. But there are also differences from the living room segment - one of the walls is designed as an accent using embossed textile wallpaper and the flooring is made using dark-colored stone tiles, which is certainly more practical for the eating area. A spacious dining table with a glass top, massive carved legs and wooden chairs with soft seats organized a dining group. Golden chandeliers in the original design complemented the image of an attractive and practical dining area.

Another small sitting area is located in the space between the rooms. Literally everything is saturated here with a southern spirit, a free lifestyle and optimism - from comfortable furniture, an original mirror and unusual decor to textiles and carpet with a national ornament.

Even the office room in the southern interior is more like a relaxation room, rather than for work. When decorating a Turkish villa, much attention was paid to the purchase of handmade furniture. Skillful carving, combined with the nobility of expensive wood, gives the impression of not just respectable furniture, but a work of art. You probably want to work at such a desk.

Another spacious living room is a relaxation area near the kitchen. Roomy soft sofas, a low table that acts as a stand, a pair of colorful poufs and original decor - all here work to create a comfortable environment. But for the creation of romantic lighting, a whole system is responsible, presented in different variations of lighting devices. Let's take a closer look at the kitchen space, which is located behind the glass compartment doors.

The interior of the kitchen is very technological, the facades of the cabinets are smooth, bright and glossy - the presence of elements of the Mediterranean style in this oasis of modernity can only be indicated by ceiling wood beams and skillfully made pendant lights, which, of course, have become the highlight of the kitchen space design.

Antique furniture and decor items perfectly integrate into the rooms, made in the Mediterranean style. Wood carvings and drawings on antique pieces of furniture, original handmade mirror frames and lovely souvenirs with which memories are associated will become an interior decoration with elements of country style of the Mediterranean countries.

We move into personal apartments and take a closer look at the interior of the bedrooms. The first bedroom is made in a beige and brown palette - it seems nature itself has presented these shades to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for sleep and relaxation. The snow-white finish of the ceiling and walls, the wooden flooring and only one vertical surface are made as a finishing accent - glued with embossed metallized wallpaper.

The skillful design of the head of the bed with the help of dark wood carvings turns a simple wooden canvas into a work of craft art. Pendant lights on both sides of the bed and original stand tables, the models of which we have already seen in the living room, are worthy of equal attention.

An unusual bathroom is located near the bedroom. Agree, it’s rare to find a spacious room for water procedures with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows (even if they open onto the backyard), original sand-colored finishes, a carved metal chandelier and a heated towel rail in the form of a wooden staircase.

The second bedroom surprises us with bolder color schemes. The accent wall in this room for sleeping and relaxing is made in bright azure color. The Turkish sea seems to be of such a shade in clear weather. The rest of the bedroom does not bring any surprises - the skilful design of the headboard with wood carvings, natural textiles and a characteristic ornament for carpets.

The adjacent area is decorated with no less attention to the comfort and attractiveness of the appearance of the recreation area. Another dining room is located in the air, under the roof of the terrace. Light walls made up a contrasting alliance with dark shades of wooden structural elements. The cozy and comfortable soft zone has become part of the dining group along with snow-white street chairs.

Another outdoor recreation area is located in the corner of the back patio under a covered textile awning. Against the background of a snow-white design, green plants, and colorful cushions, and a large table in the center of the composition look like a contrast.
