The upper part forms a side that will inhibit the growth of annuals. If the plants are carpet type, then they do not need to be framed. Their shape is maintained by cutting about once a month - then the pattern and perfect shape will be preserved for the whole season.
If you use a perennial plant, then they also need a periodic haircut, as well as forced weaving and thinning (depending on the plant), if you want to maintain shape.
Finally, another tip - if you place the flowerbed on a background surface, for example, on a stone surface or lawn, then it will look much more spectacular. The flowerbed is also very beneficial, the level of which is raised by 15 - 25 cm relative to the ground.
