The ear is straight, grows strictly up and is painted in a light green color. As it blooms, it gradually darkens. Bedspread (bract) - in shape resembles a heart with a glossy surface. • Lighting.

• Temperature.

• Air humidity.

  As a resident of rainforests, Anthurium loves high humidity. This can be achieved by frequent spraying. Another option is to lay a layer of moss-sphagnum on top of the substrate. Being saturated with moisture, it gradually evaporates it, thereby moisturizing the roots and the surrounding air. You can put a flower pot on a pallet in which moist expanded clay is poured.

• Watering.

  As soon as the substrate in the pot is half dry - you can take on a watering can. A plant is not afraid of even prolonged drought, but one watering can easily destroy it. In the summer heat, do not water the anthurium more often than once a week. In winter, even less often - once every 2-3 weeks.

• Priming.

  There are special requirements to the soil: it must pass air and moisture well, be loose and nutritious.

• Pot.

  The pot should be shallow but wide. Material - glass or plastic.

• Pruning.

  It is carried out to rejuvenate the plant and give it a neat appearance. This removes part of the side shoots or (and) part of the leaves. But you can’t touch the roots.

  Important! As soon as flowering has stopped, the peduncle should be cut off with secateurs. Otherwise, he will pull on himself a lot of strength and the plant will not bloom next year.
• Breeding.

  It propagates by seeds, cuttings, leaves, dividing the bush and aerial roots (or lateral shoots).

• Top dressing.

  You can feed the plant only in the summer months (once every two to three weeks) and fertilizers with a high content of phosphorus and potassium. Additionally, but not more than once a month, an infusion of mullein or chicken droppings is added.

• Transfer.

  Required if:

  1. the root system of the plant has become crowded in a pot;
  2. traces of rot appeared on it, or spots on stems and leaves;
  3. the soil mixture was chosen incorrectly, as a result of which the plant growth stopped;
  4. immediately after purchase.
